Aryan Khan DRUG Case: CBI Files Corruption Case Against Sameer Wankhede; Raids Former NCB Officer’s Residence For 13 Hours
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s older son Aryan had made the headlines in 2021, after he was arrested by former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Director, Sameer Wankhede in a ‘drugs on cruise’ case. Two years after the entire controversy, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recently filed a corruption case against the ex-official. If reports are to be believed, he had allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 25 crores to not frame Aryan in the drug bust case.

Following which the CBI carried out a 13-hour long raid at Wankhede’s residence on Friday evening. According to the report by India Today, the CBI team consisting of 10-12 officers left his house around 5:30 am with several documents and a printer. The agency has carried out searches in 30 locations including his residences in Mumbai, Delhi, Ranchi, Lucknow and Kanpur. The report further states that the corruption case has been filed against four public servants including the former NCB officer. For the unversed, it was in October 2021, Sameer had conducted a raid on the Cordelia cruise from Mumbai to Goa, after getting information about a rave party. After his arrest Aryan had remained in the police custody for over 26 days. He was even sent to the Arthur Road Jail during that time. However, he was granted bail by the court due to lack of solid evidence against him.
